Good afternoon,
Incredible news to share with you all during this wonderful week. The trip to Mrs Downson’s Farm was a wonderful success! We started the day with the friendly Sarah and Amelia. They gave us a safety explanation for the farm, and we started our adventure! We began with bottle feeding some very excited lambs and then exploring the pens and observing different breeds of sheep and goats. After the lambs had full tums we visited some water buffalo, pigs and piglets, alpacas and lamas, goats, sheep and 2 rather charming horses. Then we explored the rabbit and Guinea pig encloser and had a hold of a cuddly bunny called marshmallow! After marshmallow had a fuss and a cuddle, we marched off to see the wallabies! Amelia informed us that if we looked carefully, we would see baby wallabies in their special pouches – very cool! THEN! We had a small break in the giant play kingdom to stretch our legs and have an exciting, physical challenge. This was then followed by ice cream testing to cap off a perfect day. Thank are needed for Sarah and Amelia for a lovely day and the PTFA for keeping the cost of the trip down for us all. In tremendously exciting news Pendle Class met their new year 1 today this week! She is called Miss Gifford and she came in to say help and celebrate children’s writing, mathematics and reading! Then spoke with children while they explored provision areas. The children were instantly enthralled by this wonderful teacher and we were all so excited to meet her. Miss Gifford even awarded the whole class Dojos for their excellent behaviour. Children will continue this relationship with Miss Gifford as we continue into the summer in preparation for transition days and September! I know that Miss Gifford is looking forward to meeting you all. I know you will show her the love and support you have showed me. Thank you all for another great term! I hope you get to spend lots of time together as a family over the holidays. Be safe and see you all very soon.
With love,
Mr McGill
