Last Friday, we had a superb band and choir concert. Both KS2 classes finished with a two part festive song and it raised the roof. Well done Mr Warren for teaching the children so well and well done children for such confidence, enthusiasm and animated performances. I really can’t believe so many of our band children are in the infants! Together, they make a great sound and we can’t wait for the next concert in March.
As we reflect on what Advent means for us and wait for the arrival of Christ, we have had many opportunities in school to celebrate the anniversary of Christ’s birth in our world. Like Jesus, the children have been shining their light and reminding us all that our mission is to be like Jesus in our thoughts, words and actions.
What little stars we have in our nursery and pre-school. We had a lovely afternoon with many friends and families in church. Thank you to all who came and well done to all children- you were amazing and gave us all so much joy in this special season of Advent.
It has been a wonderful few weeks back in the school routine. I say 'routine' but there has been so much going on that we have not always been able to stick to our planned timetable! So far, we have had our weekly Class Masses and St.Francis' creation Mass, a fantastic harvest celebration day in church (where the work of many kind and dedicated parishioners created beautiful displays to celebrate harvest and all of the natural gifts from God), a family Mass and the season of creation work in all classes (you can see our work below).
What a super time we are having this half term! I can't quite keep up with it all and I do hope I haven't missed anything out. As we approach the end of another school year, I wanted to show you some of the highlights. We still have so much more to come with our open air Mass on Sunday 3rd July, stay and play mornings, Summer Social, Confirmation, Beacon Class plays, sports days, an infant trip to Eureka and much more!
